The Oakbrook Walk Apartments FAQ
Q. Can I have shelves, curtains, posters, etc.?

We know how important it is to make your living space uniquely yours. That's why we're happy to say you can personalize your walls with shelves, curtains, posters, or anything you'd like. Of course, we do have a few guidelines to follow. We'll need you to use approved wall anchors to keep things secure, and any holes bigger than a dime must be puttied upon move-out. But beyond that, we want to ensure you feel right at home in your space and have a place you can call your own. So feel free to get creative and make it your own!

Q. Can I paint my walls?

Our community allows residents to paint their walls to their heart's desire. Whether you prefer a bold accent wall or a serene, neutral palette, you can make your living space your own. Remember, kindly paint the walls back to the original property color when moving out. So go ahead and let your creativity shine!

Q. What is your pet policy?

We love furry friends just as much as you do! That's why we allow up to two pets for each resident. Whether you have a cute little pup or a fluffy cat, we are happy to accommodate them both! We even allow qualified caged animals to join in on the fun. We have some breed restrictions, but we hope that doesn't discourage you from bringing your pet. You can rest easy knowing that we require a $150 refundable pet deposit, a $150 non-refundable pet fee, and a monthly pet rent of $30. We can't wait to welcome you and your furry family members!

Q. What does the application and leasing process look like?

We understand that the application and leasing process can be a bit overwhelming when finding a new home. But don't worry; we're here to guide you every step of the way! To start, you can fill out a guest card on our website or schedule a tour with one of our friendly leasing agents. Once you've found the perfect home, the application process is completed online through our convenient resident portal. Our team will help you confirm your move-in date, floor plan, availability, and rental rate. We know your time is valuable, which is why our screening process for background and credit history is quick and efficient. If approved, we will send you an electronic lease for your signature. It's that simple! We can't wait to welcome you to our community.

Q. Do you require renter’s insurance?

While it may not be required by law, we require it as a part of your lease agreement. Not only is it a good idea to protect your possessions in case of theft or damage, but having personal liability coverage can help protect you financially in case of accidents or damages caused by you or your guests. Adding your property as an additional insured on the policy is easy, giving you extra peace of mind. So, if you don't have renter’s insurance already, ensuring you're fully protected is worth considering.

Q. How do I submit a maintenance or service request?

If you need maintenance or service in your apartment, submitting a request has never been easier. All you need to do is hop onto the resident portal and fill out the form – easy, right? There's no need to call the office or write a letter when you can do it all online. Plus, with just a few clicks, you can stay in the loop on the status of your request and get updates when needed.
